Engineering Sphere Director

The Sphere director oversees the activities, development, and strategy of the Sphere. A Sphere is a workspace to network with similar majors or fields of studies within LAMP. Each Sphere acts as an independent segment of LAMP. Our six Spheres are Information Technology, Business, Liberal Arts, Engineering, Healthcare & Science and Research.

Responsibilities:

  • Create annual strategy and goals that will guide the Sphere throughout the year
  • Facilitate the pairing of mentors and mentees according to defined processes and best practice. Mentorship is our core competency!
  • Interview potential new mentors and mentees and ensure the program is selecting the best candidates who would contribute and commit to the organization's short and long term vision
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and networking opportunities for mentors and mentees (with the help of the Marketing and PR team)
  • Gather testimonies from mentors and mentees which will be used for marketing efforts
  • Create and manage an internal Sphere structure allowing mentors and mentees to actively contribute and support the director through various positions within the Sphere
  • Track/manage mentor-mentee relationships through frequent status updates and maintain all Sphere activities in our proprietary Sphere management system
  • Work with the operations manager to constantly evaluate and enhance the Sphere processes and performance
  • Meet deadlines and carry out tasks in a professional and timely manner
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization and represent the org and Sphere at various functions

Information Technology Sphere Director

PHP/Web Developer

We are looking for a PHP/Web developer who is dedicated to his/her craft and can hit the ground running. The developer will be responsible for all aspects of ongoing development from the initial specification and analysis, through to developing, testing and launching. You will design and develop new applications and services, as well as develop enhancements for existing applications. Developers will work with stakeholders & colleagues on defining project and system requirements.

To qualify you must have PHP experience + any of the following:

  • Experience with Bootstrap framework
  • HTML; CSS; JavaScript; JQuery; AJAX
  • LAMP software bundle (no pun intented)
  • MySQL; SQL Server; SQLite
  • Object oriented programming

Marketing Manager

LAMP is seeking a talented Marketing specialist to help grow awareness around our vision/mission and market the organization to external and internal segments. You will work closely with organization leadership and have complete bottom-line responsibility for strategizing, creating, analyzing and executing innovative marketing plans using a wide array of marketing tactics and across various channels. Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to prioritize tasks, anticipate needs and make adjustments, and an assertiveness to offer new ideas that will contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and execute marketing budget and plans, define and implement campaign schedules, and manage campaign costs and resources within budget
  • Research, identify, forge, and maintain marketing partnerships
  • Research the market and audience to develop successful marketing campaigns and continuously experiment to maximize results
  • Gather and analyze data to communicate and improve existing and future campaign efforts
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather pivotal information to develop clear and relevant messaging within marketing pieces
  • Review and edit promotional materials for marketing effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Sphere directors, fundraising, and organization leadership
  • Manage LAMP's internal monthly newsletter along with planning, organize content (blogs, testimonies, events, news), creating, and emailing to internal listserv


Qualifications:

  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing
  • Relative work experience including supervisory responsibilities
  • Previous quantifiable success in managing marketing projects from end-to-end
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and graphic design tools for creating flyers and other promotional material
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks while remaining organized
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions while meeting deadlines
  • Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to change

Performance Manager

The goal of this position is to ensure a professional environment where members are held responsible and accountable, and ensure that our organization is meeting the highest standards of excellence and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of an organization-wide performance management program (i.e. forms, assessments, self-evaluation templates, team lead/supervisor evaluations, sphere performance evaluations, reports, etc.)
  • Conduct biannual performance evaluations for sphere directors and core team members using a combination of the job description and annual goals to measure expectations against overall performance
  • Create reports biannually highlighting the performance at each position and potential recommendations and areas of concern
  • Manage the process from a strategic perspective and contribute to management discussions, realizing the impact this area has on the organization’s operations and development
  • Oversee the performance and health of spheres and create biannual reports highlighting the health, growth, and trajectory of each sphere. Use the onboarding app reports as well as other tools to oversee sphere performance and report concerns to management
  • Work with LAMP management on providing performance enhancement recommendations and report potential concerns
  • Lead the goal setting process at the beginning of each year
